Start turn-by-turn navigation to a destination

Before you start
You need a destination with a road route to navigate to. RideClan is free to download, so there is nothing to buy to start navigating.

Tap Ride Solo or Ride Squad. The two buttons on the map home. Either one can navigate to a destination.

Choose Destination. When RideClan asks Where to?, pick Destination rather than Record. Record starts a ride with no destination and no guidance.

Search and pick your place. Type where you want to go, then tap a suggestion. The keyboard closes as soon as you pick one.

Check the route on the plan card, then tap Go. The card shows the distance and ETA with the route drawn on the map behind it. Tap Go to start guidance.

Follow the guidance. Ride the voice and on-screen directions. The map follows you and shows your next turn, so the turn you need is the biggest thing on screen.
Riding a motorcycle route, not a car route
If your vehicle is set to Motorcycle, both the route you preview and the route you ride are worked out for a two wheeler. This is worth caring about beyond the few minutes of difference in the ETA: plenty of flyovers and expressways do not allow two wheelers at all, and a car route will happily send you onto one. Check the vehicle setting before a long ride in an unfamiliar city.
Switching to a different route while you ride
There is no route picker before you set off, and that is deliberate. Instead, while guidance is running, alternates appear on the map as grey lines with a label telling you how much slower they are. Tap one and the route and ETA both switch to it. Choosing during the ride is the version that works: it uses live traffic as it stands when you get there, rather than a guess made in your driveway.
If it does not work
If Go is greyed out, there is no road route to that point. Pick a destination that sits on a reachable road and try again.
FAQ
Do I need to pay for navigation?
No. Turn-by-turn navigation is included free during the launch rollout, so there is nothing to buy right now.
Can I navigate with my group?
Yes. Tap Ride Squad instead of Ride Solo, pick your squad, then choose Destination to ride there together on one live map.
Can I choose between routes before I start?
No, and you do not need to. Alternate routes appear on the map while you are riding, labelled with how much slower they are, and tapping one switches to it.
Does navigation work outside India?
Yes. You can set a destination anywhere in the world and RideClan will route you there.
